INSPIRATION
“Art & Joy” And “The world is your stage” are the phrases that define the vision of Lujo, our guide to the energy that uniforms need to express.
Art, originality, eccentricity, but above all joy.
Lujo also wanted to adopt a more retro style so that the customer feel immersed in a unique world and in a different time, where technology was not yet part of every second of our lives and the passage of time felt slower.
Orange, ivory and navy blue are the iconic colors of Lujo, so we incorporated different shades of the brand scheme in addition to some yellows and greens that express happiness - the essence of Lujo-, and a variation of browns that worked as harmonizers between bright colors and textures.
first steps
The project begins in November 2023, first making trips to Istanbul, Bursa and Denizli to find material suppliers to make the samples and for the subsequent manufacturing of the uniforms.
After the research, we selected those fabrics and accessories that best fitted the concept, the corresponding orders were placed, the first sketches were designed and the search for qualified personnel for manufacturing and production began.
the team started
Once the personnel and materials arrived, the hard work began.
The team was dedicated to pattern-making, cutting and constructing the prototypes as well as the technical sheets that, once the models were selected, had to be sent to the factories along with the samples.
bring it to reality
We worked with a scheduled time of 5 months: every two weeks meetings were held with the hotel managers in which various options for each position were presented, the best models were selected and/or changes were applied. In this period, the team made more than 100 different models.
communication is key
For mass manufacturing, clarity in communication is of utmost importance.
Patterns and technical sheets were made in English, with some important words in Turkish; the documents were sent to the factories digitally and also physically, together with the samples.
the good boys
The hotel welcomes several street babies and makes them part of the Lujo family, they also had to look good!
That is why at the end of the project, the atelier team made a series of garments, scarfs and prints exclusively for them.
